Jamie Durie is known for making dreams come true when it comes to the backyard, and it was no different in the latest episode (Saturday, September 12) of the show. Jamie met a young couple, James and Stephanie, who are parents to two beautiful sons. The pair got engaged three years ago but never had the chance of walking down the aisle.

Opening up to the camera, James revealed that they had wanted to get married, but their financial condition took a toll on them. James recalled he had a job but just before starting it, he found out that he no longer had the position. With no jobs, debts and bills to pay, the pair to declare bankruptcy. This made James and Stephanie put the idea of marriage in the backseat. Despite this, the loving couple has been staying together and building a family. While they have their house sorted, one thing they have been struggling with is the backyard. For the longest time, the pair had been planning on renovating it but their situation did not allow it.

To make things worse, the backyard had become a ground for wildlife to come. Stephanie recalled seeing bears and feared for the safety of her sons. After hearing their story, Jamie knew he wanted to do something special for the family. He decided to make the backyard ready for a garden wedding. He decided to transform the place into an area that would be ready to invite many people while also have the dream wedding the pair had been hoping for. At the same time, he wanted to make sure that the backyard had everything the pair was looking for. Stephanie revealed she wanted an area where her children could enjoy.

Meanwhile, James wanted the backyard to feel safe for his family. Keeping this in mind, Jamie started the transformation while Stephanie and James invited guests for their wedding that was set to take place in three days. Jamie even invited wedding planners to help them out. With everything in place and everyone assigned specific tasks, Jamie was able to get the task done on time. At the same time, with James and Stephanie helping out with the transformation, the area became special for them. It was finally the day for the pair to get married and for others to see the transformation. Undoubtedly, the backyard proved to be the perfect place for the wedding as the transformation made it a perfect spot to say their 'I do'.

'Backyard Takeover' airs on Saturdays at 9 pm ET on HGTV.
