The world might be heading to a new start but the 90s kings Backstreet Boys seem to hold their power forever. At 'Fox's New Year's Eve with Steve Harvey', the boy band left the crowd raving and wishing for more.

The group that rose to fame with their hit international album 'Backstreet Boys' in 1996, performed one of their classic hits 'Everybody' and left the house cheering with a thundering roar of claps.

"Don't mind me, I'm just rocking out to Backstreet Boys over here #NYEonFOX," one fan posted while another wrote, "Well, the @backstreetboys just served the best performance of the night. they never left my heart... but backstreet's back!"

One fan even poked fun at how he fell asleep at a Backstreet Boys concert once. Thankfully, he ended the tweet with how wonderful the band's performance was on New Year's Eve. "True story, I fell asleep at a @backstreetboys concert when I was little. But damn, they sounded amazing just now on #NYEonFOX!"

"Forever loving those guys, no matter the decade. #backstreetboys #NYEonFOX," one tweet read.

Another said, "Me when I hear #BackstreetBoys singing 'Backstreet back' and then immediately watching all the fineness that @llcoolj brings to the stage may be too much for me to handle. Dammit my youth was to h the tiger grrrrrreeeeaaaaat #NYEonFOX."

Meanwhile, one fan posted about how listening to the band made him realize how old he was. "Watching the Backstreet Boys perform on #NYEonFOX was the most depressing part of the decade and sobering realization how old I am," the tweet read.

Another fan wrote, "Ok my 7 year old just told me to calm down when #BackstreetBoys came on #NYEonFOX and I am like...Guurrrrlll...get out of my way #TueYearsEve."

The star-studded event also had performances from the Chainsmokers, the Lumineers, Florida Georgia Line, Tyga and The Killers, and specials with celebs including Gordon Ramsay, Will Arnett and Jenna Dewan.
