A former model has claimed that her affair with Woody Allen which started when she was just 16-year-old may have inspired the film 'Manhattan,' in which Allen's much older character has an affair with a teenage character played by Mariel Hemingway.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Babi Christina Engelhardt claimed that she started dating Allen in 1976 when he was 41 years old, and the affair lasted eight years and mirrored one of his most famous movies. Engelhardt claims that she initiated the affair at New York City power restaurant Elaine's by dropping her number to Allen.

She said that by the time she was around 20, Allen had introduced her to his then girlfriend Mia Farrow, and soon after, Engelhardt claims, she started to have threesomes with Allen and Farrow. Engelhardt shared that she used to enjoy Mia's company and the two would spend time together-smoking joints and talking.

Engelhardt shares that she soon started to feel very sorry for Mia and said, "I felt sorry for Mia," referring to how Allen went on to betray Mia and had an affair and then married her adopted daughter Soon Yi-Previn.

"I thought, 'Didn't Woody have enough 'extra,' with or without her, that the last thing he had to do was to go for something that was totally hers?" she said before adding, "He had groomed Mia, trained her, to put up with all of this. Now he had no barriers. It was total disrespect."

Christina also claims that she had group sex with some other young women whom Allen had brought in before being introduced to Farrow.

She recalls that she was a bit hesitant to be intimate with a woman but began to grow fond of Farrow. "There were times the three of us were together, and it was actually great fun. We enjoyed each other when we were in the moment. She was beautiful and sweet, he was charming and alluring, and I was sexy and becoming more and more sophisticated in this game."

"It wasn't until after it was done when I really had time to think of how twisted it was when we were together … and how I was little more than a plaything. While we were together, the whole thing was a game that was being operated solely by Woody so we never quite knew where we stood," she continued.

Initially, Christina shared that she was not pleased about meeting Woody's girlfriend especially since she thought that she was in a relationship with him.

"I felt sick. I didn't want to be there at all, and yet I couldn't find the courage to get up and leave. To leave would mean an end to all of this," she wrote in an unpublished memoir of her time with Allen, the manuscript of which she chose to share for the first time with Hollywood Reporter.

"Looking back now, that's exactly what I needed, but back then, the idea of not having Woody in my life at all terrified me."

Engelhardt shared of her time with Farrow and Allen, "I used to think this was a form of mother-father with the two of them. To me, that whole relationship was very Freudian: how I admired them, how he'd already broken me in, how I let that be all right."

She also spoke of the one time when she remembers him showing any emotion which was on the day that he received some bad news from another ex, Diane Keaton. "It caught him off-guard. He just sat there next to me and looked at his hands. They were trembling. At that moment he wasn't even in the room," she shared.

Her relationship with Allen was confirmed by her brother as well as the photographer whom she was with when she gave the director her number. She also had a letter that she had received from Allen recalling their relationship fondly and also asking her to meet his new wife in 2001.

Both Allen and Farrow are yet to comment on Engelhardt's claims.
