Things are not looking so good for Nora Lynn in 'Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens'. In the preview for Episode 5 of Season 1, the 28-year-old decides to make a rash decision regarding her hair, after a bad fight with her father (BD Wong).

The hairdresser gently tries to tell her that it's a bad idea,  but Nora is determined to stick to her decision and tells her to back off. The official synopsis of the episode reads, "Nora impulsively dyes her hair after a fight with her dad; Wally goes to a single parent support group meeting."

In the preview clip, the hairdresser warns her that if she is bleaching her hair out of angst, it is a bad idea. Nora snaps that the only thing that is causing her angst is the hairdresser's annoying whisper.

Meanwhile her father Wally seems to be reaching the end of his tether with his rebellious daughter and has joined a single parent support group. Will Nora go through with the bleaching?

'Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens' airs on Comedy Central, Wednesdays at 10.30 pm ET.

'Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens' is loosely based on the life of the Golden Globe winner, in her pre-stardom days. In an interview with USA Today, Awkwafina confirmed that the events in the show mirrored her own life.

"The biggest change was how much more grounded in reality and my experiences the show became," the performer said.

"I really did focus groups for money; I really did work in a shady real estate agency. I felt that the best way to tell a story without making it seem like it's trying too hard, especially with comedy, was to just tell it the way it happened," she said.

It shows the 28-year-old trying to navigate the woes of adulthood while living with her father and cantankerous grandmother. Up until now, we've seen Nora go to Atlantic City, try her hand at a shady real estate agency and struggle to get her license.
