It has been an exciting time for Marvel faithful over the last few weeks. The first 'Avengers: Doomsday' mini-teaser saw the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, and the second was focused on Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The third teaser is massive as it features the X-Men (or in this case, some of them) in a new look.

The clip opens with a voiceover by Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) with the footage showing a ravaged Xavier mansion. There is also a look at Ian McKellen's Magneto, saying: "Death comes for us all, that's all I know for sure. The question isn't, 'Are you prepared to die?', the question is, 'Who would you be when you close your eyes?'." The teaser ends with James Marsden’s Cyclops, pulling his visor and blasting the red beam. The video ends with a text saying, "The X-Men Will Return In Avengers: Doomsday."

Stewart was also seen in a cameo as a multiversal variant of Professor X in 'Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness'. Marsden and McKellen were last seen in ' X-Men: Days of Future Past.' Also set to return are  Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, while Channing Tatum will continue as Gambit from 'Deadpool & Wolverine.'

Earlier, Marsden spoke about his return as Scott Summers/Cyclops. "I’m getting a little long in the tooth to put on the superhero costume," he said, in an interview with Vanity Fair. "I was excited because you’re a part of something gigantic."

"I’ve spent 20 years listening to people say, ‘When are you coming back? When are you coming back? Are you coming back?’ I’m dead. Well, maybe not. I’m going to have a tough time struggling to get into costume if they wait a couple more years. So it’s been a blast. It really has. It’s been a nice little homecoming to a role that really put me on the map. It was the first real event project that I was ever a part of, and a very beloved character, this icon from the comics. And so to step back into that role was pretty special."

'Avengers Doomsday' also stars Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, alongside Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing, and Simu Liu as Shang-Chi.

Also in the mix are Florence Pugh as White Widow, Kelsey Grammer as the Beast, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M'Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

'Avengers: Doomsday' releases in cinemas on 18 December.
