Australian chiropractor filmed hanging two-week-old baby upside down for spinal treatment ordered not to treat children
Dr. Andrew Arnold of Melbourne was also ordered to not publish, display, promote or provide materials, information or advice that relates to the assessment, management or treatment of children.
A Melbourne chiropractor has been ordered not to treat any children under the age of 12 after a distressing video of him dangling a two-week-old baby upside down while performing tests on the infant went viral.
In the video, where Dr. Andrew Arnold was supposedly administering spinal treatment, he can first be seen folding the infant's legs into the hips until he feels a click. He then pulls out a chiropractic device called the activator —which is used to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the intention of restoring motion to the targeted vertebra or joint — and announces to the parents, who are off camera, that he was going to use it on the child.
