Audrey Hale: Parents of Nashville school shooter were unaware that he hid 7 weapons inside his home
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Audrey Hale, the Nashville mass shooter was able to hide seven firearms from his parents despite being treated for an "emotional disorder". He hid the cache of weapons at his home in Nashville as his parents did not want him to own those guns following his disorder, said police on Tuesday, March 28.
The 28-year-old allegedly made a legal purchase of the different weapons from five local stores which also included the three guns - two rifles and a handgun she used to fatally shoot six victims on Monday, March 27, at The Covenant School, said police chief John Drake, reported Daily Mail.

Hale was under 'doctor's care for emotional disorder'
Hale's parents Ronald and Norma Hale told authorities they were aware of only one gun with him but they were under the impression that Audrey sold the gun sometime before the horrifying massacre that killed three nine-year-olds and three adults.
Audrey was biologically female and preferred he/his pronouns. However, many outlets have referred to him with female pronouns. Drake said, "She was under doctor’s care for an emotional disorder and that police knew nothing about the treatment she was receiving." Talking about Hale hiding his weapons, Drake said, "Her parents felt she should not own weapons. They were under the impression that when she sold the one weapon that she did not own anymore. As it turned out, she had been hiding several weapons within the house," according to Daily Mail.
Audrey's mother Norma is an anti-gun activist
The school shooter's mother who has been critical of the use of guns urged her Facebook friends to sign petitions to "make large-capacity gun magazines illegal" and "keep guns out of schools" to prevent mass shootings after Sandy Hook massacre in 2012.
Audrey was fatally shot during the massacre
Audrey, an art student who was biologically born a female, identifies as transgender. The shooter's LinkedIn profile stated the choice of pronouns as he/him. Police identified three young victims of the shooting namely Kinney, Scruggs, and Dieckhaus who were declared dead after they were shifted to the Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Mike Hill and Cyntia Peak, both 61, and Katherine Koonce, 60, the school headmistress were the other three faculty members who were shot and killed. Two MNPD officers fatally shot the 28-year-old shooter during the 14-minute tragic shooting after they heard gunfire.
