Tensions between Namor and the rest of the world have been bubbling beneath the surface for a while, and despite all that has been done to stop a war, this Wednesday, Atlantis attacks!

The Agents of Atlas stand in his way, but are they enough to face Namor with the full might of the undersea kingdom behind him?

'Atlantis Attacks' resurrects the 1980s crossover that saw an Attuma-led Atlantis attack the surface world. This time, however, it is Namor in charge, and this battle has been brewing for a while.

Hints of the coming war were first seen in the pages of 'Avengers.' The war was further explored in the 'Invaders' series by Chip Zdarsky and Carlos Magno, which examined the secret history responsible for Namor's identity issues and mental illness, as well as established Namor's initial attacks on the surface world.

Captain America and his Invader allies have done all they can to prevent Namor from attacking the surface world, but Namor ultimately believes it is well past time that Atlantis establish dominance over a surface world that has largely ignored the undersea kingdom.

Namor will be going up against the Agents of Atlas, an all-Asian team led by Amadeus Cho, who has been attempting to stop another war — one of dragons.

In the comic series written by Grek Pak and drawn by Nico Leon, the Agents of Atlas found themselves in opposition with CEO Mike Nguyen. A dragon has been captured by the Big Nguyen Company in order to draw from its power, leading to global dragon attacks.

Dragons, as it turns out, are subjects of Atlantis — and hence, Namor is coming to seek revenge.
