Who was Ashley Lockhart? Philly mom-of-six, 34, stabbed to death by fiance on restraining order
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: The Philadelphia Police Department on August 7 found the body of a Pennsylvania mother-of-six, Ashley Lockhart, in the passenger seat of a minivan. The 34-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in the arms and neck. Later, she was pronounced dead at the scene. People reported that her fiance has been charged with murder and possessing instruments of crime. He has been identified as a 34-year-old named Raymond Thompson. It has also been revealed that Lockhart had a restraining order against him.
The court documents also reveal that Thompson was denied bail. He was later appointed by attorney Douglas Lee Dolfman who refused to share any insight into the case. Therefore, it wasn't immediately clear if a plea had been entered for the suspect.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched on behalf of the children of the deceased mother. Lockhart left behind six daughters whom she used to lovingly refer to as "6 charms". The ages of her six children range from 5 months to 10 years old. It is still not clear if Thompson was the father of any of the children.
The fundraiser campaign aims to collect $30,000, and already, donations have surpassed the $60,000 mark and are managed by Lakeshia Lockhart, a relative. The account where the funds are collected is managed by a cousin of Lockhart, Antoinette MacMillan. The description of the fundraiser reads, "On Saturday August 6, 2022 our beautiful Ashley Lockhart was taken so tragic and sudden from her 6 beautiful daughters, family and loved ones. Ashley was an amazing Mother, dedicated working Mother and devoted Mother. She loved all of her children and devoted her time energy and made sacrifices for them that they will forever remember. As this is extremely difficult to process, and unimaginable to even begin to try and move forward, we the family would like to maintain the momentum for the girls. They are returning to school in a few short weeks, and their every day essentials are important for us to make sure they aren’t lacking, as Ashley did. The ages of all of the girls are 10, 8, 6, 5, 4 and 5 months. As a family we will make sure that all “6 Charms” (as Ashley called her girls) stay together and that their Mothers life and legacy is one that they will forever remember. All proceeds will go towards costs and needs for the girls only."
People on social media have been showing support to the victim. A user on Facebook writes, "Jesus keep & protect these babies.....This women Ashley Lockhart is now dead because she finally mustard up the strength to leave this man and it causes her her life.Listen I don't know who you are,but abuse starts very subtle it's never outright ,abuse starts mentally, verbally, emotionally, and then sooner or later it gets physical....These six beautiful little girls have lost their mom and dad because he will go to prison which he should and did not count up the cost for his Wicked Ways. ... I am deeply saddened by this. Women abuse does not get better... Men abuse does not get better.. It takes God to heal the hearts and minds of people and if they not willing to let the demons controlling them, go and really give it over to God this is the end result. . If you are a man or woman and in an abusive situation please move in silence and wisdom but get you and your babies out of there....... #StopDomesticViolence"
