WASHINGTON, DC: Photos revealing a bag of cocaine found in a locker near the West Executive entrance of the White House have come to light following a Freedom of Information Act request.

The bag was supposedly recovered on July 2, prompting an evacuation of the West Wing and an 11-day investigation by the Secret Service.

FBI's involvement and controversy surrounding the investigation

Deputy Director of the FBI Paul Abbate was reportedly involved in the investigation related to the cocaine bag found in the White House. Despite narrowing down the list of suspects to 500, the lack of security footage facing the locker area hindered efforts to identify its possessor.

According to a source familiar with the setup, lockers near the White House's West Wing are not assigned to specific personnel. Instead, visitors can choose a locker and take a key.

The absence of assigned lockers led to speculation that a tour participant might be responsible for the illicit substance.

Documents obtained by the Daily Mail include updates on what transpired during the investigation. One document described the discovery as a "1'' by 1'' bag of white powdery substance found near where pass holders put their phones when going into the [redacted]."

Another noted that the individual who found the cocaine "was confident it was drug-related."

The Secret Service, after conducting thorough tests, confirmed the presence of cocaine, sodium bicarbonate, and caffeine in the discovered substance. However, despite an analysis by the FBI, no fingerprints or DNA evidence on the "dime-sized" zipper-lock bag could determine ownership or the persons responsible.

On July 13, a Secret Service statement acknowledged the challenges, saying, "Ownership or persons responsible for the initial placement of the item within the West Wing of the White House Complex on July 2, 2023, could not be determined utilizing DNA or latent print retrieval methods."

The cocaine was subsequently sent for "destruction" on July 14.

Internet reacts as first pics of the bag of cocaine recovered from the White House emerge

Soon after the photos came to light on Monday, November 13, netizens were quick to comment about the situation, with many taking a dig at President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden

One said, "Let’s see if they try to indict Trump over this…," as another added, "Oh, they know who's cocaine that is. But they'll never, ever say."

A person remarked, "I swear we are living in the Twilight Zone!!"

"Just think. It could've just as easily been fentanyl or anthrax. In what should be the most secure place in the US, if not the world," expressed someone else.

One more quipped, "it was just a little cocaine no worries. There was no way it was Hunter's or it would have been a gallon bag."

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre came to the defense of Biden family members

Amid the controversy, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced questions from reporters five days after the bag's discovery.

Responding to inquiries about the involvement of a Biden family member, Jean-Pierre emphasized she had been "very clear" that the Biden family was not in the White House premises.

"You know, there has been some irresponsible reporting about the family and so I've got to call that out here," said the press secretary, adding, "And I have been very clear."

"I was clear two days ago...the Biden family was not here, they were not here, they were at Camp David," continued Jean-Pierre.

She further stated, "They were not here Friday, they were not here Saturday, they were not here Sunday. They were not even here Monday. They came back here on Tuesday."

The questions arose in part due to Hunter Biden's documented history of drug and alcohol abuse, detailed in his memoir. His sister, Ashley Biden, has also struggled with drug use and has sought treatment in a rehab facility.
