Ever since the cliffhanger of Season 2, which cut out just before the deactivation of AI Sophie (Tiffany Chu), fans of 'Artificial' have been on the edge of their seats to find out what happens next. Unfortunately, they're going to have to wait just a little bit longer to see what has happened since.

Today's episode of 'Artificial: Remote Intelligence' was supposed to finally feature the series' new story, but has been postponed for a week. The 'Artificial' team shared a post declaring that it would be pausing their stream for a week, returning next week at its regular time. It also sent out a message hoping that the shows viewers were keeping safe.

While not explicitly confirmed, it is likely that the stream was paused out of respect to the George Floyd protests that have been prevalent across America. Many websites and series took part in #BlackoutTuesday as a means of stepping back to allow black voices to be heard - some have extended this blackout for an entire week. The message saying that the show would be off for a week comes hot off the heels of a retweet from Twitch, declaring the streaming site's decision to stand with its black creators and the #BlackLivesMatter movement. The 'Artificial' announcement bears the same format of a white font on a black screen.

'Artificial: Remote Intelligence' has already released two episodes, which focused on the new tools that would be used to heighten interactivity in the upcoming season. The first episode featured the new LifeScore technology, which would play music based off of the emotions felt by the Twitch audience in the chat. The second episode saw the audience create a new character who would be appearing on the series - Kira - and also introduced the poll that would name the new AI that 'Artificial: Remote Intelligence' will be featuring.

The poll was meant to go up today, allowing fans to vote on whether the new AI should be named Autumn, Lilith, Remi (named for Remote AI) or Paige. However, that poll, along with the episode, will not be released for another week.

The next episode of 'Artificial: Remote Intelligence' releases June 11, at 6 pm PDT, on Twitch.
