After a week's break, the English Premier League is all set to get back to action with a string of much-anticipated games. One of the fixtures on Saturday, October 17, is the clash of heavyweights, Manchester City and Arsenal. Both teams have had contrasting starts. While City has looked wobbly, the Gunners have looked solid so far. Both teams made some impressive signings during the transfer window and will be keen to see the output the new joiners provide.

Ahead if the spicy clash, here's everything you need to know:

Time

The match is scheduled for 12:30 pm ET on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Venue

Pre-buzz around the game

Kevin De Bruyne's participation remains doubtful for the key clash. While Pep Guardiola said there were no injury concerns, he added some of his boys were not fully match fit. Manchester City went into the transfer window with the intention to beef up on its defense, and beef up it did as Pep Guardiola added a couple of center-backs in Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.

The Dutchman came with a hefty price tag of £41m ($52.9m). To further bolster the unit, Benefica's Ruben Dias was added and he wasn't cheap on the pocket either with £61 ($78m) million. Winger Ferran Torres from Valencia at £20 ($25.8m) million added to options at Guardiola's disposal. However, the absence of a bonafide striker will hurt their chances and perhaps that issue could have been tackled during the transfer window.

Mikel Arteta and his men might not have had their versatile playmaker, Mesut Ozil on their lineup regularly, but that hasn't stopped them from playing some promising football to shake off 2019's bad memories. In Thomas Partey, there surely will be a blast for the Gunners. The midfielder was their last-minute dash. Partey completed a medical on Monday after the Premier League side triggered his £45 million ($58M) release clause. Although he was on Arsenal's radar all summer, the finance aspect was a challenge as Atletico sat strong on their valuation.

Who will win?

Despite the fact, the Gunners have a better form going into this fixture, their away record has been something that needs improvement while City will be keen to get back to winning ways. Arsenal may just have the edge over their top-six rivals here.
