'FBOY Island': Here's who are still in love and who broke up right after Season 1
In the first season of the HBO Max original 'FBoy Island,' three ladies chose a partner from a pool of 24 men, 12 of whom were decent folk and 12 of whom were self-proclaimed FBoys. But are any of the Season 1 couple still together?
The HBO Max reality show presents three ladies who had to pick a partner from a pool of 24 guys. Half of the suitors were self-proclaimed good people, while the rest were "fboys" who aren't looking for love, but rather the reward after the competition. The winning prize is $100,000 in cash. According to creator Elan Gale, the show's other purpose is to "test if people can change for the right person."

Following the show's premiere, host Nikki Glaser spoke about the series' concept and how the guys are picked. “I think the real discrepancy between an fboy and a nice guy is not a guy who likes to have lots of sex versus a guy who only wants to have sex with one woman,” she said in an August 2021 interview with Men's Health.“The difference is a guy that likes to have a lot of sex and lies to get it, and the guy that doesn’t lie," Glaser said.
Glaser also commended the women for being focused on their objective of finding a spouse. “That is part of what these reality shows need to be. For love to blossom this fast, to get as much drama and tumultuousness that a real relationship would have over the course of years — you’re putting a relationship into a pressure cooker — you need to make it, so these people are constantly dating,” she explained. “Constantly talking about dating, and do nothing else except eat, sleep, and talk about boys.”
Watching from the sidelines helped the Ohio native respect the reality stars even more. “The girls worked harder than anyone. I was very obsessed with them getting enough sleep and being taken care of, because I wasn’t really able to talk to them off camera. They didn’t want me to possibly slip some information, even though I didn’t have any,” Glaser recounted. “At one point, I slipped them notes like I was in high school and folded them into little origami shapes to just check in with them and say like, ‘Hey, if this is too much, here’s my hotel number. Try to find me and let’s talk.’ The whole cast was eating, sleeping, and drinking the show, whereas I had a lot more downtime.”

Sarah Emig and Garrett Morosky
Sarah Emig, a Yelp sales professional, made an appearance on the broadcast. While Sarah was on the show, many guys admired her. She did, however, become close friends with Garrett Morosky and Josh McDonald. Garrett made it apparent from the outset that he is just in the program for the money. Despite multiple warning flags throughout her engagement with Garrett, Sarah selected him because "he has shown a desire to change." Garrett immediately dumped Sarah, claiming he didn't see a future with her. Sarah's social media posts highlight the fact that she is single.
Jared Motley and Nakia Renee
Nakia is a hair and makeup artist located in Los Angeles. Nakia had a thing for Jared Motley from the start. Despite her suspicions that Jared was an FBoy, Nakia planned to approach him. Although Jared began the episode as an FBoy, he quickly discovered that Nakia is more important to him than money. He even admitted to being in love with Nakia. Because they choose to keep their relationship life private, it is uncertain if Nakia and Jared are still together. Jared, on the other hand, recently appeared in her live broadcast.
Nakia's bet with Jared jeopardized her $100,000 reward. Jared stunned the audience when he kept his word and the two divided the money. Although they continued to date outside the island, Nakia subsequently announced that they had split up. “Things didn’t work out between him and I. We’re kind of going in two different directions as far as like what we want," the makeup artist remarked in a video uploaded on Reddit in September 2021. Even though they continued to date outside of the island, Nakia later stated that they had broken up. "Things between him and I didn't work out. "As far as what we want, we're kind of moving in two separate directions," the makeup artist said in a video posted on Reddit in September 2021. "It was a real relationship." It wasn't just for the camera. "He tried, I tried, and it just didn't work, just like in any other genuine relationship."
