'Archer' Season 11 Episode 7 Preview: Archer and Lana put aside their differences to go save their daughter
Sterling Archer (H Jon Benjamin) and Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler) have had their differences - in fact, they've hashed those differences out in every episode since Archer's return from his coma. The one thing they can agree on, however, is that the safety of their daughter is paramount. Those who've taken her are about to be reminded of a very important lesson - nobody messes with a mama bear. Especially when she's got enough guns to take out an army single-handedly.
AJ, who has been sent to a boarding school in Switzerland by Lana, has been noticeably absent from Season 11 so far. Archer has missed out on her toddler years while in his coma, putting AJ at the approximate age of 5. She's the one person that Archer hasn't seen since waking up and a reunion is long overdue, though not even Archer expected that it would be going down quite like this. He's sure to put it all on the line to make sure his daughter comes home safe and it looks like his main job is going to be making sure he doesn't get in Lana's way.
Lana has a lot of anger to work out and the kidnapping of her daughter sends her right over the edge. The promo for the next episode shows just that - shot, after, shot, after shot, Lana is taking no prisoners as she fights to get her daughter back. She's so enraged, in fact, that it's going to take Archer of all people to keep her on-mission. While Lana's ready to shoot everyone in her way, it may be up to Archer to ask the bigger questions - such as who it was who kidnapped AJ and why.
It's been a rocky road for Lana and Archer all through the season, but emergencies like this are exactly what make their unconventional family come together. The official synopsis for this episode, titled 'Caught Napping', reads "When AJ is kidnapped, it's up to Archer to get her back and keep Lana's rampage pointed in the right direction."
