Since returning from his coma, Sterling Archer (H Jon Benjamin) has been working hard to regain some semblance of the life he once knew. Whether it's undermining Cyril Figgis (Chris Parnell), getting back on missions, making Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler) care about him again, or managing to reintroduce day drinking to the office, he's had fair to middling success at best. One thing that's consistently failed him is the string of valets that Mallory Archer (Jessica Walter) has been sending his way to replace Wodehouse (Tom Kane) - and as of the last episode, that search may finally be over.

In the last episode, while Archer was finding common ground with the man who was once his nemesis, Mallory, Cheryl Tunt (Judy Greer) and Pam Poovey (Amber Nash) decided to put their heads together and solve Archer's valet problems once and for all. Nobody picked so far has been good enough for Archer, but at the last minute, new candidate Aleister (Simon Pegg) proved to all three of them that he'd be the perfect man for the job. Now all he has to do is convince Archer - and according to the synopsis for the next episode, he manages exactly that.

Archer is apparently quite smitten with his new valet, though the preview clips for the next episode reveal that the two get off to a rocky start. Archer pulls a gun on him at first sight, but after a bit of respectful violence and a very stylish swordfight (just the kind of man-on-man action that Cheryl can't get enough of), he earns Archer's respect. This might be just the thing that Archer's been missing from his life since he woke from his coma. As Pam pointed out the last episode, Archer doesn't need a servant, someone to press his shirts and pick up his dry cleaning. Archer has been in sore need of a confidante, and Aleister might just be the man he's been looking for.

The official synopsis for the episode, entitled 'Best Friends', reads, "Archer is smitten with his new valet, Aleister, who promotes exercise; Archer just wants to eat." You can watch a preview for the episode below:
