'Apex' on VoD: 5 things you never knew about Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is one of the biggest stars in the world and has given several iconic performances. However, in recent years, his popularity has come crashing down due to the kind of movies he has been doing. His previous movies have not been doing well at the box office and did not receive good reviews from the critics as well. However, he is still doing movies and directors are doing anything to make him a part of their project.

His upcoming project ‘Apex’ is a remake of the 1994 movie ‘Surviving the Game’ which stars Ice-T and Rutger Hauer in pivotal roles. The story revolves around Thomas Malone (Willis) serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. But he is given a chance to be free if he can survive a twister game. Will he be able to get his life back? Or he’ll lose everything.

Bruce Willis as Thomas Malone

The veteran American actor began his acting journey by appearing on theatre productions and quickly made his entry into Hollywood. His first feature film came out in 1980. In 1988, Willis received his first piece of success with the movie ‘Die Hard’. The movie turned out to be a massive success and made him an instant star. He was called the next big thing in Hollywood and he indeed became one.

Since then, the movies he has been part of initially turned out to be really successful. Movies like ‘Pulp Fiction’, ’12 Monkeys’, ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘Armageddon’ and ‘The Sixth Sense’. In 1987, Willis won Best Actor in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical for ‘Moonlighting’. For the show, he also won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the Primetime Emmys. He received his 2nd Primetime Emmys for his guest role for ‘Friends’.

Neal McDonough as Samuel Rainsford

Born on February 13, 1966, Neal McDonough graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and starred in various theatre productions. In 1990, he made his feature film debut with the movie ‘Darkman’. However, he received his first major acting role in 2002 with ‘Minority Report’. In 2006, he was cast in ‘Flags of Our Fathers’. Meanwhile, on TV, he was a part of the projects like ‘Babe Ruth’, ‘Iron Man’, ‘The Incredible Hulk’, ‘The X-Files’, ‘Desperate Housewives’, ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’ and ‘Yellowstone’.

He has given his voice to games like ‘Rogue Warrior’ and ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’.

Alexia Fast as West Zaroff

Born on September 12, 1992, Alexia Fast is a Canadian actress who began her career at the age of 7 when she wrote, directed, and starred in the short film ‘The Red Bridge’. She starred in her first feature film ‘Fido’ in 2006 at the age of 11. She has appeared in a number of television films, feature films, and in episodes of various television series.

In 2012, she appeared in the movie ‘Jack Reacher’ alongside Tom Cruise and Rosamund Pike. Since then, he has appeared in the projects such as ‘Flashpoint’, ‘Supernatural’, ‘Red Widow’, ‘Manhattan’ and ‘Bates Motel’.



 

Corey William Large as Carrion

Large started his career at the age of 21 as a model and then became an actor. His first acting role in movies came in 1997 with ‘Excess Baggage’ and ‘Death and Texas’ (2004). In 2005, he starred in the movie ‘Chasing Ghosts’.
