Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid are the definitive trendsetters in street fashion, as they make headlines every time they so much as step out of a hotel, but their brother Anwar Hadid is slowly coming into his own as a street fashion icon with his distressed denims and his cross-body totes and fanny packs slowly becoming trends.

Anwar, 18, made his debut as a model in October 2015 when he was featured in Nylon Magazine. He was eventually signed to IMG Models, Gigi and Bella's agency, and made it to the cover of Teen Vogue in 2016 alongside Cameron Dallas. He had his runway debut the same year, and in February 2017 he walked in the Zadig & Voltaire New York Fashion Week. Anwar became the face of Hugo Boss Menswear's HUGO line in January 2017.

Anwar was first seen on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' when his mother Yolanda Hadid joined the third season of the show in 2012. He maintained a low profile on the show, preferring to take the backstage to his more glamorous sisters. However, the model has since found his niche, departing from his sister's creative looks to develop his own unique style.

Anwar has made cross-body bags a staple of his daily fashion. Whether it's a Goyard purse worn in a cross-body style or a Balenciaga bag, Anwar certainly has made a statement with his bold adoption of accessories normally marketed at women and reimagined the style with which the purse is usually worn, giving it a more casual aesthetic.

Anwar owns a number of the fanny packs that is currently trending, sporting them in a variety of styles, designs, and patterns, but always wearing them in the cross-body fashion. His recent Instagram posts have him donning the fanny packs on nearly all of his recent outings, keeping them on even when indoors.

The bags are certainly used to make a style statement rather than to fulfill any pragmatic purposes as they are too small to fit much into them. The model was seen cosying up to his girlfriend of one and a half years, Nicola Peltz, in an Instagram post, and making out with the actress while toting an orange fanny pack with a black strap slung over a sky blue hoodie.

Anwar still has a long way to go, however, before he can reach the heights that his sisters have reached in their careers. Gigi has literally been modeling since she was a baby, landing a gig with Guess. She took a break in between before resuming modeling for Guess in 2011, eventuallly making her New York Fashion Week debut in 2014. She was named the International Model of the Year in 2016 by the British Fashion Council.

Bella's first modeling job was five years ago, and she, too, made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2016. She managed to match the explosive success of her sister in a much shorter time, being voted the "Model of the Year" 2016 for the annual awards show hosted by Model.com.
