'America's Next Top Model' alum Jael Strauss dies at 34 after battle with breast cancer
Jael Strauss lost her battle to breast cancer and passed away at the age of 34 on Tuesday. The model finished sixth on the eighth season of America's Next Top Model in 2007.
ET Online reports that Strauss first revealed her diagnosis on Facebook in October this year. In a heartbreaking post, she shared the details of her incurable breast cancer. She wrote, "I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know, On October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer." Jael was diagnosed with stage IV rapidly progressive metastatic inflammatory breast cancer. She continued, "It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable. With treatment, it may prolong my life longer than the 'few months' doctors said I could make it. I don’t want to die. I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013."
