Mother-of-one devastated after finding family dog stabbed to death on the kitchen floor
A young mother was horrified after she found her beloved dog stabbed to death in the kitchen.
On Saturday evening, Sophie Davison found Pippin, a Yorkshire Terrier cross, lying in a pool of his own blood with stab wounds to his throat. The murderer is believed to have fled the scene without stealing anything after breaking into the residence on Wilfred Street, Sunderland, Courier Online reports.
In a bid to bring Pippin's killer to justice, the 21-year-old single mum told the paper about the nightmare moment when she discovered the dog's lifeless body on the floor. “He was lying on the floor in blood," Sophie said. "I went over and touched him and he was freezing. There was blood on the walls and the kitchen door. I just broke down knowing someone has come into my home and killed my defenseless dog."
