KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: The shooter of 16-year-old teen Ralph Yarl has been charged with 2 felonies. As per the latest report, Andrew D Lester was booked under assault in the first degree and armed criminal action for the shooting, confirmed the Clay County Prosecutor Office on Monday, April 17. The court set the bond for the 85-year-old at $200,000.

Yarl mistakenly rang the doorbell of a different house thinking it was where his siblings were with their friend. Shooter then allegedly shot the teen once in the head and after he was down hit him on his arm. The actual home was a block away, as per Yarl’s GoFundMe page set up by his relative. If found guilty, the shooter can face 10 to 30 years behind the bars, informed the prosecutor.

“Ralph was then able to get up and run to the neighbor's house, looking for help. Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up,” his aunt Faith Spoonmore wrote in the fundraiser. Celebrities Viola Davis and Halle Berry reacted to the unfortunate shooting on social media too, appealing for justice, as per NY Post
