"MON MOTHMA IS HERREEE #Andor," one of the tweets read. This was seconded by another who wrote, "me when mon mothma showed up #Andor." That the character has a husband who was pretty much a jerk, was also noted by fans. "andor spoilers // honestly, mon mothma needs to dump her husband and get herself a better one, or a wife," a fan opined. "#Andor is SO GOOD! Episode 4: • Everything about the workings of the ISB was perfect. • This first Rebel mission already has its hooks into me. • Hell, I’m ready for Mon Mothma’s dinner party! The craftsmanship of this show…" a tweet read.

"#Andor Spoilers . . . . . The exchange between Luthen and Mon Mothma where they played two fronts was so well written it felt like it came straight out of a spy thriller movie," a tweet read. "#andor i really like the differences between mon mothma's house and the ISB center. both are really white and pristine, but the colors in the former setting are much warmer. more full of life. really love how distinct they are," a fan noted.

Earlier, in an exclusive with Entertainment Weekly, the Irish-Australian actress shed light on Mon Mothma and also the Diego Luna-starrer. "We really get to develop her as a character, and we get to learn about her not just as a senator, but as a woman," she told the outlet. "[We learn] what her life is like, what she has to wrestle with, what are the dangers to her life, what it costs to be her. [Showrunner Tony Gilroy's] writing is so intricate and so taut. It lives in this world of the spy genre, of a sociopolitical drama, and yet it's set within a Star Wars world. So it feels universal and intimate all at once."

She further added, "We see her talking to senators, and then we meet her at home with her husband. We see the public and the private. We see her literally and figuratively take off her cloak and reveal herself as a woman in a way we've never seen before."
