Ana Navarro shares Alex Diaz de la Portilla's 'bloated-face' mugshot, slams Miami commissioner amid bribery charges
MIAMI, FLORIDA: On September 14, Miami city commissioner Alex Diaz de la Portilla was arrested and charged with bribery and money laundering, as reported by AP News.
After the news broke out, ‘The View’ host and Miami resident Ana Navarro took to Instagram to share Diaz de la Portilla’s mugshot with followers and fans.
Navarro also labeled Diaz de la Portilla as a “corrupt thug” and detailed her own experience with him.
Navarro has also urged others to share this mugshot of Diaz de la Portilla as she went on to say, “Karma is a b***h, ain’t it?”

On Instagram, ‘The View’ host Ana Navarro shared a mug shot of Miami commissioner Alex Diaz de la Portilla after his arrest.
Navarro wrote, “This mug-shot is @alexdiazdelaportilla. He is a Miami City Commissioner and a corrupt thug.”

Navarro then shared her own experience with Diaz de la Portilla during his “drunken tirades.”
Navarro said, “He got into one of his many drunken tirades at a political event many years ago, & for no reason, started screaming racial slurs & calling me “India de mierda” (piece of s**t Indian), because I was born in Nicaragua.”
She continued, “He’s a racist piece of 💩, who thinks being a white Cuban made him superior. I was a young political operative then. He was a State Senator from a powerful political family. It is something I will never forget.”
“Today, he was arrested for a bunch of serious crimes, including bribery, public corruption, and money laundering. Karma is a b***h, ain’t it? 🤣👏🏼💃🏻 Feel free to repost this. I’d love for his bloated-face mugshot to be seen far and wide,” concluded Navarro.
Alex Diaz de la Portilla believes the charges were ‘politically motivated'
However, Miami commissioner Alex Diaz de la Portilla believes his charges were politically motivated.
According to AP News, he also said, “When the smoke clears, I am confident that these spurious charges will evaporate into thin air.”
In addition to Diaz de la Portilla, his co-defendant and Miami attorney William Riley Jr, was also reportedly booked into the Miami-Dade County jail, along with the Miami Commissioner.
