Ana Navarro left embarrassed on air after guest Josh Gad playfully calls out 'The View' host's cue card glance
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ana Navarro was called “inauthentic” by guest actor Josh Gad on the show after he noticed ‘The View’ star looking down at the cue cards to introduce him.
The 42-year-old actor ensured that Navarro didn’t hear the last of it as he called her out for this blunder before everyone.
The incident happened when Gad recently came on ‘The View’ to promote his Broadway musical Gutenberg, Season 2 of ‘Wolfe Like Me’, and the upcoming ‘Frozen’ sequels.
Ana Navarro embarrassed by Josh Gad on ‘The View’
The 51-year-old Navarro while introducing Gad to the audience said, “Josh, we are so happy that you're here. We love-”
Gad noticed Navarro looking down at her cue cards and before she could complete her statement, Gad cut in and said, “You had to look down at that? For that? Why are you...”
He then took her cards and mimicked her Navarro’s opening. Pretending to read the cards, Josh repeated: "You're like, 'Josh, we are so happy...”
Navarro and her ‘The View’ co-hosts laughed at Gad’s dig as the political commentator, embarrassed, hid her face under her hair.
He continued: "I question the authenticity of that statement.”
Gad then cheerfully stated, "I'm so happy. This is the best view in town guys."
Navarro appeared to struggle to find her footing after being called out, referring to ‘The Rocker’ star as an actress as she stumbled over her words.
Everyone in the audience laughed heartily at the incident between Navarro and Gad before moving on with the show.
Ana Navarro explores job opportunities away from ‘The View’
The political commentator recently revealed that she is exploring other gigs away from the daytime talk show.
Navarro admitted she's going to Panama over the Thanksgiving break to speak to staff at the US embassy there.
She made the confession when she appeared on the podcast, ‘The View: Behind The Table.’
When asked about her Thanksgiving plans, she said: "I'm going to Panama. We are friends with the US ambassador of Panama, Mari Carmen Aponte.”
"Mari Carmen invited me to come down to Panama. She's been wanting me to go and do a few things at the embassy, you know, speak to the staff."
She added: "It's hard for me to do that unless I have a holiday."
