Amy Schumer announces she's pregnant with Chris Fischer's child via a friend's social media account
The news of Amy Schumer's pregnancy comes just eight months after she and her husband Fischer tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony that took place in Malibu.
2018 is really doing Amy Schumer good, for the Emmy winner is reportedly expecting her first child with her husband, Chris Fischer. And her revelation of this pregnancy came in the usual Amy Schumer style: via a cryptic Instagram post. The 37-year-old directed all her fans to former CNN White House correspondent Jessica Yellin’s Instagram page on Monday, October 22, saying that she needed to share some much-required news.
“About to announce some exciting news on @jessicayellin insta page. Please follow her for up to the minute #newsnotnoise she breaks down what’s really going on,” the comedian captioned a Photoshopped pic of her and her husband as pregnant Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry.
“She agreed to post a lil noise today for me! Follow her and VOTE!!” And when fans popped on to Jessica Yellin’s Instagram page and onto her stories, she congratulated Schumer and shared “voting recommendations.” At the bottom, the note read, “I’m pregnant — Amy Schumer.”
The news of Schumer's pregnancy comes just eight months after she and her husband Fischer tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony that took place in Malibu. The couple had been dating a few months before deciding to tie the knot in a surprise February 13 ceremony.
Schumer's star-studded wedding saw celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, David Spade, Judd Apatow, and Larry David attending the ceremony among others. “Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening from a text Amy sent [two days before],” a source told Us Weekly at the time.
“It was, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’” Schumer and the Beetlebung Farm Cookbook author had been reportedly introduced to each other by her assistant, who is his sister.

The couple made their red carpet entrance together for the first time at the 2018 Tony Awards in New York City on June 10, as per reports. And the 'Trainwreck' actress sparked her first pregnancy rumor when she posted a photo on Instagram of herself in a red dress with her arms near her stomach, but then cleared up the confusion minutes later.
“I am not pregnant,” she clarified at the time. “It looked like I was pointing to a bump or something, but I’m not. [My friend] Lessa Evans and I have created a clothing line for all sizes and shapes at a chill price point. That’s what I was trying to allude to, but thank you for thinking of my womb.”
