Amy Schumer reveals the sex of her first baby but hides it below a message to Wendy's and Chance the Rapper
Amy Schumer has revealed the sex of her baby in an Instagram post, and it's a boy! The actor and comedian shared a photo of herself and Chris Fischer on Instagram, sharing the news that they will be having a son together. The post featured a photo of the couple in a doctor's office, alongside a message that slammed fast food chain Wendy's, and calling out Chance the Rapper for endorsing the brand, which is the only fast food chain that is refusing to protect farmworker women from sexual assault and rape in the fields.
"Hey! We love @chancetherapper and hate to be the ones to tell him that Wendys is the only fast food chain refusing to protect farmworker women from sexual assault and rape in the fields. This is true," the 37-year-old comedian wrote in her post. "Please read that sentence again. Message for the people in charge: Instead of spicy nuggets, we want food that is harvested with dignity NOT violence. Please join the @fairfoodprogram and #BoycottWendys link in my bio of how you can help," she added.
At the end of her post, Schumer wrote: "Also we are having a boy."
Schumer has been vocal about her difficult pregnancy, giving updates about her difficult pregnancy with timely social media posts. The 'Trainwreck' star recently took to Instagram to share a photo of her growing baby bump. "Oh yeah does it feel to everyone like I’ve been pregnant for a long time? It must be getting annoying to you all that I’m still pregnant. Well imagine how I feel mother f—kers!!!!!!" she wrote. Schumer had announced her pregnancy in October 2018 and has been open about the struggles she's faced throughout since she was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum.
Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Schumer was back at it again, comparing her pregnancy with that of Meghan Markle's and elaborated on why it's "not fun" to be expecting at the same time as the Duchess of Sussex, during her stand up.
The comedian also brought in her being her arrested for protesting against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, while she spoke about her pregnancy. She was arrested and escorted out of Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C. for taking part in a protest against Kavanaugh. "I don't know what I'm having. I hope it's a girl...but really just because it's such a scary time for men," she said.
