The trial of Sinaloa Cartel supremo Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán at a federal court in Brooklyn, New York, currently in its 11th week, had a special guest in attendance this past week: the actor who portrays his reel-life avatar.
According to the New York Post, 34-year-old Alejandro Edda, who plays the notorious drug lord on Netflix's 'Narcos: Mexico,' flew in from Mexico and arrived at the courtroom as early as 6 am to ensure he would get a seat. As the time approached for Chapo's arrival in court, the actor could barely containing his excitement.
