Jim Bob and Michelle’s house seemed to be full after the four newly married couples decided to pay them a visit. While the house was filled with joy and laughter, the family could not help but grieve the loss of Lauren and Josiah Duggar's first child. “Through this past year we’ve faced some pretty hard times,” Lauren reflected.  “We miscarried. It was definitely heartbreaking and still something I cry about every day.”

In a preview for the show, the couple relived their horror of losing a child. Lauren had first learned she was pregnant shortly after their wedding on June 30, 2018 but in October, at age 19, she suffered a miscarriage. They had named the lost baby Asa.

Lauren recalled that she wasn't feeling well as she felt cramps in her stomach. “I wasn’t feeling well,” she said. “I was cramping really, really bad, which was quite strange because I normally don’t. I was thinking maybe I had something that had gluten in it. That’s what I was thinking. Well, it was late at night and I went to use the restroom and right there was the baby. Gone.”

While the couple found it hard to stay strong during their loss, they were also put in a spot when the fans popped the questions of when could they expect an announcement of a possible pregnancy.

However, a couple of months after the miscarriage the pair revealed that they were pregnant again and expecting a baby girl. "We are so thrilled to announce that we are having....................a GIRL!!! Baby girl, you are already so loved and a joy to our family! Your fingers are small but you already have your daddy’s wrapped around them and you will forever have mommy’s heart! God is so kind as to give us you," the couple wrote.

Recently, Lauren threw a baby shower surrounded by friends and family. Lauren even had fun games such as changing diapers at the baby shower. "So thankful for all the ones that made this day happen and came to shower our sweet baby girl," she captioned the pictures from her baby shower.

"It’s hard to fully express into words just how blessed and loved I felt by so many people giving and loving on our daughter. Everything was so perfect and thoughtful! It will always be a beautiful memory that I will keep in my heart forever," she further added.

The pair also took to Instagram to share a hopeful message with fans who had gone through the pain of losing a child. "Sending love ❤️ this month to any parent who has lost a baby. Losing a little life at any stage is heartbreaking and devastating and should not go unnoticed. For all you mamas, yes, even you mamas who arm have never had the chance to hold your babies-you’re a Mama! Remember, that you are loved. You are a warrior. You are not alone. You are not forgotten," they wrote along with a picture that showed the clothes of a baby.

The couple has not yet announced the due date.
