Who are Funkanometry?
Jacksun Fryer and Carlow Rush are the duo that form Funkanometry. As per the bio on their website -- "We’re a hip hop and popping duo from Vancouver Island, Canada and we met up through dance battles, competitions, and classes. We both have similar styles, goofy personalities and we LOVE to entertain so we cooked up Funkanometry. Putting that FUNKI energy out there and getting it back from our audiences is the best feeling ever and we can’t believe that it has led us to opportunities such as World of Dance. Can’t wait to see what happens next. Let’s GOOOO!!!"
The duo, who have 707.7K TikTok followers, also competed in NBC’s third season of 'World of Dance', where they made it past the Qualifiers and Duels before ultimately getting cut. And while all this fame and star status has the ability to sway many, for the teens, it is all about bringing joy. “That’s one of the main things I want us to be about, to bring smiles to peoples’ faces,” Rush said in a conversation with Vancouver Sun. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do the whole time, my whole life, bringing happiness to millions of people."
“If you’re having a bad day and you watch one of our videos and it changes your mood, that’s a win for me and Jacksun,” he added.
