It's not every day that you see someone blasting off into the atmosphere from a cannon. But for David 'The Bullet Smith', it's a profession. The former 'AGT' contestant returns in 'America's Got Talent: Extreme' and will be one of the contestants keen to make a mark with his extraordinary stunt on the show. For those unaware, Smith holds six Guinness World Records at the time of writing. His records also include the highest and the farthest cannonball shot and have broken his own record an astounding four times.

Smith will again be seen launching himself from a cannon and will aim to pass through a burning ring and come out the other side unscathed. Judging his insane stunt will be Simon Cowell, Nikki Bella and Travis Pastrana. The official synopsis reads, "The “America’s Got Talent” franchise expands with this new series showcasing the most outrageous, unique, and jaw-dropping acts of enormous scale and magnitude that simply can’t be confined to a theater stage. Contestants will vie for a chance to win a $500,000 prize and the ultimate title, the champion of “America’s Got Talent: Extreme.”

"Creator and executive producer Simon Cowell will judge alongside WWE superstar Nikki Bella and motocross and rally car driver Travis Pastrana. “America’s Got Talent” host Terry Crews will also serve as host for “Extreme.” Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, and Richard Wallace are the executive producers. “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” is co-produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment."

Who is David 'The Bullet' Smith?

For starters, David was one of the contestants on 'AGT' Season 7. He was eliminated in the quarterfinals and now returns for another go. Per Hollywood Life, he also has ample support from his daughter Chloe and his cannonball father, David Sr. “It’s an indescribable amount of fun,” Chloe told Midland Daily News (via HL). "It’s a very prideful feeling. … There’s a lot of energy when it’s showtime. It’s something to be proud of because I’m doing it with someone who has broken records. Not only that, he’s my dad – anything I can do to help. Just to be fortunate enough to live my life traveling – absolutely, it’s fun."

Smith has been a veteran when it comes to being shot off a cannon. According to his official website, he's performed in over 15 countries and has been blasted off 8,000 times. However, doing it on one of the biggest platforms and equally talented challengers, Smith will look to nail his act and walk away with the prize.

'AGT: Extreme' premieres February 21 at 8 pm ET on NBC.
