Today, “AFV” is syndicated in over 103 territories around the world, spreading American humor and clumsiness across the globe!
Release date
The show premieres on October 18, Sunday, at 7/6 c on ABC.
Plot
This unique show offers a weekly $10,000 first-place prize to the funniest or most unique video as voted by the in-studio audience. Those prize winners then move on to the next competition round where they fight for a $100,000 prize followed by a grand prize vacation package which becomes the season’s very last segment.
In its 31 seasons to date, “AFV” has given away over $16 million in prize money and evaluated nearly 2 million video clips from home viewers. The video clips run up from five seconds to 30 seconds.
Host
Actor, dancer, director and television personality Alfonso Ribeiro, is the host of ‘AFV’. He replaced host Tom Bergeron in 2015 who had been with the show for 15 years.
The show also has an in-house audience but due to the Covid-19 outbreak, social-distancing is being followed and the new season will look a little different. "We've actually already shot four episodes for the coming season," Ribeiro told On The Red Carpet's Karl Schmid. "We're doing it without an audience except -- ABC and Vin Di Bona Productions -- they're utilizing that same technology that the NBA is using where we have a virtual audience with us for the entire taping."
Trailer
The trailer for the reality show is not released yet. We will update the article when we have new information soon.
