'American Song Contest': Fans fawn over Oklahoma's AleXa, despite lip-sync claims

Although fans were torn over her singing skills, her production value blew everyone out of the water!

'American Song Contest' features musical acts from across states, competing against each other while all original performing music.

One artist that fans have been excited to see on the stage would have to be Oklahoma's AleXa. She was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and she now works in South Korea, where she is K-Pop star. AleXa is now back in the USA, ready to participate in 'American Song Contest'. AleXa performed 'Wonderland' for her first performance, complete with some seriously over-the-top choreography. Fans were thrilled to see her in her element!

"#Oklahoma 100% just won #AmericanSongContest" tweeted a fan. "AleXa….BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE. And its only the second performance of the night!!! #AmericanSongContest @nbc" added another. "#AmericanSongContest I am gooped by how good Oklahoma's song was. Go Alexa!" noted a fan. "I don't even care about Alexa not singing live, cause this performance and staging looked FLAWLESS, what the fuuuuckkkkk i am shocked #AmericanSongContest" said a fan. "I know I see folks asking if she was lip syncing but this is song competition not singing so it doesn't bother me if she did. It was a great performance and song #AmericanSongContest" said a fan.



 



 



 



 



 

Others, however, were not as forgiving when it came to AleXa's power-packed performance. "Great performance but I'm not convinced OK was sung live #AmericanSongContest" tweeted a fan. "Is this ruth pol drag race lip sync for your life ? #AmericanSongContest" asked a fan. "How is the American Song Contest going to allow their performers to lip sync???? Isnt the whole point live performance?" argued another.
