'American Idol' Top 12 contestants to perform Oscar-nominated songs: 'Stand Up' to 'Happy', here's the list
'American Idol' will be broadcasted coast-to-coast starting Sunday, April 18th. So far the competition has found its Top 12 singers and they will battle it out in the upcoming episode to advance to the next round. Last week Paula Abdul filled in for judge Luke Bryan after he was diagnosed with Covid-19, but the country singer will be rejoining the show from the April 18 episode.
The musical theme for the latest episode is Oscar-nominated songs. The show is celebrating the 93rd Academy Awards that will air next week on ABC Network in the same time slot as 'American Idol'. Here is a full list of all the songs that will be performed on the episode.

American Idol has been renewed for Season 20
According to popular spoiler website, The Idol Pad, ABC has renewed the show for its landmark twentieth season. They also revealed that Season 20 will premiere during the first quarter of 2022 and its finale would take place just a couple of weeks before the 20-year anniversary of the show's inaugural season that premiered in June 2002.
Will Wyatt Pike return to 'American Idol' next season?
Idol fans went into a frenzy of sorts after fan-favorite Wyatt Pike's withdrawal was announced in last week's episode. He quit the show for personal reasons and for now it's unclear if he will be allowed to return next season.
