LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nutsa faced the judges on the Sunday, April 9, episode of 'American Idol,' following her drama-filled duet round. Despite her efforts to reconcile with everyone, fans criticized her, urging her to tone down the drama.

Nutsa, a contestant from Dubai, was paired with Carina DeAngelo in last week's Duet Round, which aired on April 3. Carina became concerned throughout the practice process since she and Nutsa were visibly unprepared for their performance, but Nutsa chose to sleep. Carina had to call Nutsa and ask her to come down from her room in order to attend a singing session with the coaches. Nutsa eventually advanced to the following round, while Carina did not. The viewers were harsh on Nutsa, with many accusing her of being selfish and hurting Carina's chances of advancement.

Nutsa apologizes to judges

During Showstoppers Pt 1, Nutsa discusses how the duets round was the most emotional event of her life. "It was really hurtful to me…I never do bad to people," she claims. "After I left that stage, I was just destroyed." Katy's instruction to have "more Grace" upset her. She apologizes to the judges in her final ruling for the event. Katy and Nutsa hug and the former compliments Nutsa on her "wonderful" apologies. Katy expresses her admiration for Nutsa's tenacity.

Nutsa sang 'Proud Mary'. Katy describes her performance as "so spectacular" to Nutsa. "You whipped your hair in the camera more times than JLo," Katy tells Nutsa. "We didn’t put you in the Top 24….You did," Katy adds. Nutsa is obviously bewildered by the embarrassing fake-out. However, she advanced to the next round.

'Can’t believe American Idol keeps putting her through'

Viewers who were shocked at seeing Nutsa advancing, a person wrote on Twitter, "Nutsa is not my fav. So many other singers were better IMO." A second person wrote, "#nutsa screwed her duet partner, then played the innocent victim… no fan here." One Twitter user wrote, "I dont care for Nutsa one bit. You can put her through to the lives, she wont get a vote for me. She doesnt feel authentic and i dont care for her." While a fan felt that even though Nutsa can sing, the apology on TV was too much. They wrote, "Nutsa can carry a tune but kill the gimmicks."

Another person quipped, "Nutsa is going to be a troublemaker and I’m here for it!" While labeling her a narcissist, another fan added, "#nutsa is a narcissist and I can’t believe American Idol keeps putting her through ~ she better not win. She gaslit her duet partner and the world, apparently." While one viewer tweeted, "NUTSA IS THE EPITOME OF CRAP."
