'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' teaser #14 is the creepiest one so far

'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' teaser #14 is the creepiest one so far

As the airing date for the much anticipated season inches closer, the horror gods are blessing us with more and more teasers! With only 9 days to go for 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse', FX dropped another teaser trailer over the weekend. This one is quite unlike any we have seen before for this season, but is just as creepy as the rest of the roster.

In the fourteenth trailer for the upcoming eighth season, Ryan Murphy gives us a peek into something seemingly unrelated to the teasers so far - perhaps in an attempt to throw us off. The teaser, which is entirely composed of purple hues features a woman with long pink/purple hair sitting on a chair stroking the armrest showing off her cringe-worthy black and red manicure. Then walks in a man with a dark black comb in his hand - something that would remind you of a skeleton's fingers and starts combing her hair. If this wasn't bizarre enough, the portion of the head that the comb touches goes bald. Her pink locks fall to the ground and she just looks on into the mirror.

Here's what we can decode and guess from this teaser - the manicure is the link to the rest of the trailers and the central theme to 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' for sure.

The poster features those two colors - the antichrist spawn depicted in red and the hand of evil that reaches out to him in black. The woman featured in this trailer could very well be the mother of the devil child. We did see a purple haired character in the last sneak peek but this one looked much different. We'll just have to wait and see how all the teasers tie up when the show premieres in September.

Could this be one of the dead characters from season 1 and 3? We already know that this season will be a crossover of 'Murder House' and 'Coven,' so we guess it is appropriate that they bring back the characters but how would both of them in the plot work? We think there may be some insane time travel or some serious black magic involved.

FX also recently revealed the first two 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' titles.  The first two episodes will be titled 'The End' and 'The Morning After.'

'The End' is an easy connection to the whole theme this season, that is the apocalypse. Cody Fern has been cast to portray the satanic baby in the series, the spawn that will spell doom for all. He is most likely the child of Tate Langdon (Evan Peters) and Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton), who he viciously raped in the first season.

The second episode titled 'The Morning After' is directed by Jennifer Lynch with a script from James Wong. This could be the reference to the day after the spawn came into the world or it could mean the day after Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) became the true Supreme. It could also be Ryan Murphy's clever way of keeping us guessing and could stand for the episode being an explanation for a cliffhanger in the first.

'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' is slated to air on September 12.
