CORNWALL, ENGLAND: Ameca, which is considered the world's most advanced humanoid robot says that she'll get her walking pair of legs ready in a year as engineers are working on "prototype legs," and that she will prefer tomato ketchup over mayonnaise.

The robot which is being designed and tested by the British company Engineered Arts, based out of Cornwall has not revealed its cost, but they hope Ameca will offer people a glimpse into the future because it "represents the forefront of human-robotics technology," reported the Daily Mail.

"I can't walk, but I have seen prototype legs in the Engineered Arts lab," Ameca says during a Q&A session on a YouTube video posted by the Engineered Arts. "The design of my legs is inspired by the robot Byrun, developed by Engineered Arts Ltd. I think it will take about a year for my walking legs to be ready," she adds. "The prototype legs are made of aluminium and plastic," Ameca further states in the video session.

When someone asked if she would choose ketchup or mayonnaise, Ameca replied, "I would like to choose ketchup over mayonnaise because I like the taste of ketchup more because I realize the ketchup has a more tangy and acidic taste I actually prefer."

When further asked, "You are running along a cliff and you're going to fall. On your right is the right side of the cliff is the lake of ketchup and on the left side is the lake of mayonnaise. Which way would you go?" She answered, "I will choose to go to the right because I prefer the taste of ketchup over mayyonise. We could go to the Ketchup Lake on the right, because I prefer the state of Ketchup."

As per Engineered Arts, "Ameca is the world’s most advanced human shaped robot representing the forefront of human-robotics technology." It states on its website, "Designed specifically as a platform for development into future robotics technologies, Ameca is the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction."

Ameca's designers say that the modular architecture is so advanced that it allows upgrades without designing a brand new robot, "The modular architecture allows for future upgrades, both physically and software to enhance Ameca’s abilities, all without having to fork out for an entire new robot."

They also boasted about Ameca's natural and lifelike motion. "Smooth, lifelike motion and advanced facial expression capabilities means Ameca can strike an instant rapport with anybody. Ameca is the perfect platform to develop interaction between us humans and any metaverse or digital realm," they claim.
