Amber Heard is set to fly to London next month and testify against her former husband Johnny Depp over the claims that he beat her. Heard will be appearing in the High Court to make this testimony and this will be the first showdown between the duo ever since various details about their relationship emerged.

Sources close to Heard stated that the actress would make sure that she tells her side of the story as she believes it is her one chance to throw light on the situation. "She will be there to tell the truth. It is her chance, her moment," the source said.

However, this testimony comes with a risk for the actress as it may put  £5 million settlement she received from Depp when they divorced in 2017 at risk. She received the money by signing a non-disclosure agreement, as reported by Daily Mail. However, it seems impossible that Depp would receive the money as Heard had donated it to charity.

Last week, the court received proof that Depp had hinted about killing Heard in a text message that he had shared with British actor Paul Bettany. The text had reportedly read, "Let’s burn Amber. Let’s drown her before we burn her!!!" The texts also hinted at Depp's wild nights with booze and drugs.

Another text read, "I’m gonna properly stop the booze thing darling… Drank all night before I picked Amber up to fly to LA." Another text of his detailed how the actor was having a hard time keeping himself away from alcohol as it read, "Ugly mate… No food for days… Powders… Half a bottle of whiskey, a thousand Red Bull and vodkas, pills, two bottles of champers on the plane."

Depp also hopes to clear his name after Heard accused him of domestic violence. Heard had stated that on several occasions Depp had choked her and pulled a chunk of her hair. However, Depp claims that Heard was the aggressor. The result of their court hearing will only come next month and until then the two are reportedly making sure that their case remains stronger.
