Johnny Depp ‘pushed' ex Kate Moss down the stairs, claims Amber Heard: 'He was about to push my sister too'
In an explosive statement, Amber Heard on Tuesday, July 21, said that Johny Depp once shoved British supermodel and his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss down the stairs in a violent rage. Depp and Moss dated each other in the 1990s.
Heard told the High Court that she did punch her ex-husband during an incident in March 2015 at their Los Angeles home as she feared that he might do the same to her sister Whitney as he did to Moss. When Depp’s lawyer, Eleanor Laws QC, asked Heard about being violent towards the 57-year-old, she responded: “I did strike Johnny that day in defense of my sister. He was about to push her down the stairs. I had heard a rumor from two people that he had pushed his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss down the stairs. That was fresh in my mind. I thought of that moment and in a flash, I acted in defense of her. For years I was Johnny’s punching bag and never hit back. This was the first time I ever raised a hand in self-defense.”
But Laws accused Heard of "making this up as you go along" because the 34-year-old had never stated this incident before. The lawyer added: “You have added the detail about Kate Moss. It’s not contained in any document. You did not mention anything about Kate Moss being in your mind. You are just making this up as you go along. This is the first time that you have mentioned it.”
Later in the court, an excerpt of Heard’s deposition in August 2016 was played in which she mentioned the "very violent" row that happened in March 2015. However, there was no mention of the incident related to Moss. Laws again accused her of adding up instances while Heard replied, “I have not had the liberty of time, space, or energy to list every incident that’s listed in these proceedings.”
The ‘Aquaman’ actress also accused Depp of threatening to kill her. She told the court yesterday on the day one of her evidence: "He explicitly threatened to kill me many times. He would blame all his actions on a self-created third person, which he often called The Monster. He talked about our relationship being ‘dead or alive’ and told me that death was the only way out of the relationship.
“He described what he wanted to do to me if I left him or hurt him, for example, carving my face up so no one else would want me. He also said what he would do to others he didn’t like or was threatened by, detailing how he wanted to have someone tortured or how cheap and easy it would be to have someone knocked off."
Heard’s chance to give evidence to the court came after Depp gave evidence for five days at the start of the three-week trial. Earlier on July 10, the UK court heard that Depp allegedly wanted to cut off Elon Musk’s penis because he believed Heard and the SpaceX founder had an affair together. In one of the messages sent to Lady Gaga’s ex-fiancee Christian Carino, Depp wrote: “I'll show him things he's never seen before like the other side of his d**k when I slice it off.” The text was revealed at the actor’s explosive libel trial against The Sun for calling him a “wife-beater” in London’s High Court.
The actor also allegedly wrote: “She’s begging for total global humiliation…She’s gonna get it…she sucked Mollusk’s crooked d–k and he gave her some s–t lawyers…I have no mercy, no fear and not an ounce of emotion, or what I once thought was love for this gold-digging, low level, dime a dozen, mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market.”
