JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: An Amber Alert was issued on Sunday, December 15, for two young siblings who were last seen playing in their front yard in Jacksonville, Florida, authorities have revealed.

Six-year-old Braxton Williams and his five-year-old sister Bri'ya Williams were reported missing at 11.30 am on Sunday by family members, Jacksonville Sheriff Public Information officer Christian Hancock shared with reporters on December 15 night.

The FDLE had issued an Amber Alert while the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office launched a searched that involved K9's, air units, drones, and dive teams.

Hancock told reporters, "We're searching the surrounding areas, we're searching ponds, we're searching trashcans, we're searching everything. Again we're searching for these kids and we aim to find them. They could be anywhere in Florida if they're not alone. If they are alone obviously they are in danger because they are 5 and 6 years old."

He is also asking residents and neighbors to be on alert and report anything suspicious. Officers have been knocking on doors and handing out flyers to try and get as many people aware of the case.

Hancock added, "We're not going to spare any expense. The search will continue throughout the night, as it's going right now, until we find these children."

Braxton was last seen wearing a red sweater and blue jeans while his sister Bri'ya was seen in a gray sweater with multi-colored writing on the front and a pair of black leggings.

As reported by First Coast News, residents have been on the lookout for the children since they were reported missing. One couple who were walking in the area at around 11.50 am recalled seeing a woman in a dark-colored car who was "speeding" with two children in the back seat.

However, the couple cannot confirm whether it is connected to the two children. If you have any information on the children's whereabouts, call JSO at 904-630-0500.
