Amber alert issued for 1-year-old Alabama boy Elisha Jenkins suspected to be abducted from Bay Minette

BAY MINETTE, ALABAMA: The state of Alabama has issued an Amber Alert for a missing child. The 1-year-old boy, who is identified as Elisha O Jenkins, has been described as a black male with brown eyes, black hair and weighing around 20 pounds. The Bay Minette Police Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are looking for assistance and asking for help to successfully locate Elisha. 

According to CBS 12 News, the child was last seen on Monday in West 5th Street in Bay Minette around 2 pm. It has been reported that Elisha could be in extreme danger. It is possible that the child is with a woman, Jaimie Hobbs, who has been described as a white female with brown eyes and brown hair. The vehicle suspected to be used by the poeple involved is believed to be a blue Hyundai Sonata (2015 model) with the Alabama tag number — 4822BB1. Additional details are currently not known.

Recently, an Amber Alert had been issued for a child missing from Tallahassee. It is believed that the child could have been abducted, officials revealed. The missing child is Josiah Brantley, 8, who is likely to be in the company of Jasmine Brantley and Damian Burgman. Josiah was last seen in Holton Street in Tallahassee, 12 News reported. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and a pair of orange shorts.

According to WTXL, the Tallahassee Police Department believes that Josiah is with his mother Jasmine and could be heading towards Live Oak or Orlando with her and her boyfriend Damian. Josiah's aunt, Jessica Brantley and uncle Jonathan spoke to ABC 27 and said that Jasmine does not have custody of him and they pleaded with her for his safe return. Jessica said, "This morning her and my mom were up talking around three something in the morning. My mom went to the restroom and came back and Josiah and the baby were gone." Jasmine is believed to have taken Josiah from the 2500 block of Holton Street. "Her boyfriend has some family in Live Oak and I know one time they were in Live Oak and they visited us because it wasn't so far away," Jessica shared. Jonathan Brantley added, "We just want him returned. We just want peace of mind that he's where he's supposed to be."
