When is Prime Day?
It was confirmed by Amazon on September 27 that Prime Day has been scheduled to take place on October 13 and 14. The sale deal will begin on Tuesday and run through Wednesday. The deals will go live at midnight PDT. The annual event was delayed for months due to the ongoing pandemic. The retail website typically holds Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale events in the month of November.
Here's how you can prepare
To be able to avail the Prime Day services, you need to get an Amazon Prime membership. After a 30-day free trial, you can continue the subscription for the price of $12.99 per month and $119 per year. As a Prime member, you'll have access to Prime Video, ad-free music streaming and unlimited photo storage and reading.

While the retailer is yet to announce deals for Prime Day, last year's event included sales on products such as Fire Tablets, Kindles, TV Streaming sticks and Echo smart speakers. Buyers can also expect discounts on other products such as Apple devices, smart TVs, games and toys. House essentials and apparel will also be a part of the sale besides Amazon’s own in-house brands.
According to CNN, here are a few Prime Day deals that are already available now. "Prime members can receive 50% off a new six-month Kindle Unlimited membership, save $50 on Audible's annual plan, including 12 credits to use upfront on any title including new releases and bestsellers and get $15 off their first order of $50 on Amazon Fresh. You can also save up to 40% on daily essentials or upgrade your smart home with two new Echo Dot devices for $39.98 if you’re a Prime member and use code DOTPRIME2PK at checkout."
How you can find the best Prime Day deals
For the first time, Amazon has created a "Watch this Deal" option that'll allow the customers to set a notification alert when a certain product goes on sale. This button is however only available on the mobile app. You can also bookmark Amazon's deal page, which will include all the items on sale. Ensure you refresh the page often to see new deals as they tend to sell out quickly.
