Amanda Bynes 'flees sober living facility' amid fears the actress may be 'backsliding' into drug use
Amanda Bynes has reportedly left her sober living facility amid a legal battle over her conservatorship, according to reports. The 33-year-old actress, on Thursday, "bailed on her sober living facility," according to The Blast. It is not yet clear where the actress is currently residing.
The outlet also stated that the 'She's The Man' actress, who was attending fashion design school, "dropped out" and is not working at the moment. The one-time Nickelodeon actress, in a 2018 interview with Paper Magazine, had admitted to narcotic abuse and her parents are reportedly worried that she is "backsliding" into drug use.
"My advice to anyone who is struggling with substance abuse would be to be really careful because drugs can really take a hold of your life," Bynes had said during her interview.
The 33-year-old had, earlier this year, had checked herself into a Los Angeles mental health facility after a "stress-induced relapse" while she was planning to make a comeback in Hollywood. The actress's mother, at the time of her relapse, had reportedly stepped in to assist her with medical and financial issues, according to the outlet.
Latest reports state that Bynes is set to head to court soon to have her mother removed as conservator and have a "third party" put in charge instead.
Bynes, during her Paper Magazine interview, had also revealed that she wants to return to the show business and in "kind of the same way [she] did as a kid, which is with excitement and hope for the best."
"Everybody is different, obviously, but for me, the mixture of marijuana and whatever other drugs and sometimes drinking really messed up my brain," the former star said. The actress, in 2014, had also accused her father of sexual abuse, however, she recanted her allegations later.
"[I tried] cocaine three times but I never got high from cocaine. I never liked it. It was never my drug of choice," Bynes revealed and openly admitted abusing Adderall.
