'She's The Man' star Amanda Bynes surprised her fans on Valentine's Day when she announced her engagement to a mystery man with a photo of her ring on Instagram. On Saturday, the actress revealed the picture of her fiance in a photo captioned 'lover.'  In it, the fiance is smiling while Amanda clicks a straight-face selfie. However, she is yet to reveal his name or any other detail and that has got everyone curious.

The fans are rejoicing but things haven't always been this hunky-dory for her. But for what it's worth, she looks happy in the first picture with her fiance.

Amanda quit the Hollywood scene when she was just 24 but that decision was followed by arrests, social media trolling, negative press coverage, and of course people not taking her seriously as an actress, Cheatsheet reported. She was known for her child-like, innocent roles and that was what helped her reach the top of her game, but very soon she expressed an interest in taking her career to the next level. Amanda posed for Maxim in 2008. But that didn't give her what she wanted.

"Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem. I know 24 is a young age to retire … I’ve never written the movies and TV shows I’ve been a part of. I’ve only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play," People quoted her tweet.  Ever since this happened, she hit a downward spiral and it took her years to come out of it.

This one time she set fire into a driveway of a residential area following which she was taken into a mental health facility where she sought help and recovered. Unfortunately, her mental health status was never sympathized with or taken seriously, which made a bigger dent to her chances of springing back on the silver screen.

However, it looks like she has put a lid on her past and is ready to make a move towards a happy, bright future.

Her last film was 'Easy A' (2010), starring Emma Stone.
