AMAs 2020: Jennifer Lopez and Maluma set the stage on fire with 'Pa Ti' and 'Lonely', fans say 'that's passion'

The 48th American Music Awards features some of the most iconic performances of the year. Following the protocol of 2020, all the artistes are socially distancing as some of them are tuning in from various parts of the world. Jennifer Lopez performed with Latin artiste Maluma who made his debut in AMAs 2020 and wowed the audience with a sultry performance of ‘Pa Ti’ and ‘Lonely’.

The steamy performance echoes the heat of the eight-minute-long video of the music video of the two songs that were released in September 2020. The Latin star duo is expected to appear in a romantic comedy “Marry Me’ set for release next year.

AMAs 2020 are celebrating the diversity of the different genres of music. The crossover between the Latin duo comes as a part of the 'Marry Me' motion picture soundtrack, marking a new generation of Latin music finding its root in the mainstream. In addition to Lopez and Maluma, the starry line-up of the performers tonight include BTS, Dua Lipa, Lil Baby, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Beiber, Lewis Capaldi and Shawn Mendes, making for a star-studded night of music.

At 51, Lopez is redefining the meaning of boldness, fans say. A fan asked, "Six feet apart, Jennifer Lopez and Maluma. Not six inches. #AMAs" and another said, Jennifer Lopez and Maluma just KILLED IT!!!!" There were also viewers who found the performance underwhelming as a user said, "Jennifer Lopez's performance was ok...like neither her or Maluma's mics were on but she kind of served at the end...but overall it was meh."

As the date of 'Marry Me' comes near, fans can't wait to see more of this duo's fiery chemistry on screen.
