Moments after actor James Van Der Beek was eliminated from 'Dancing With The Stars' on Monday, November 18, his competitor on the show, singer Ally Brooke, begged him to let her give up her spot on the show for him - especially after learning that Beek and his wife had recently suffered a miscarriage.

After being placed at the bottom two positions along with James, 42, the 26-year-old pop singer broke into tears after judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli announced their final decision.

"This is not at all easy," Carrie Ann confessed, adding, "The couple I want to save is Ally and Sasha. I'm so sorry, James." Bruno also voted for Ally, leaving no doubts in anyone's minds as to James' fate on the show.

While James' dance partner Emma Slater, 30, looked shocked by the decision, the 'Dawson's Creek' star accepted the decision calmly. That was was when Ally broke down and hugging him, repeatedly asked: "Can I please give it to you? Please?"

Before Tom Bergeron, 64, the host of the show, informed Ally that there was no provision of doing so, he praised her gesture. "Ally has asked if she can give it to James, a lovely gesture," he said.

Moments before being eliminated from the show, James told the audience of the show that his wife Kimberly, who was pregnant with the couple's sixth child, had suffered a devastating miscarriage. "My wife Kimberly and I went through every expectant parents' worst nightmare," he said, facing the cameras. "We lost the baby. The little soul that we had expected to welcome into our family took a little shortcut into whatever lies beyond."

This was the fourth miscarriage they have suffered as a couple. "You never know why these things happen. That's what I've been telling my kids. All you know is it brings you closer together. It breaks you open. It opens up your heart. Deepens your appreciation. Makes you more human. I really didn't think I'd be dancing tonight," he admitted.
