In new video, Allison Mack is seen gushing over group she allegedly used to recruit sex slaves

The actress was indicted on April 19 on several charges including luring other women into the cult and blackmailing them
UPDATED JAN 23, 2020

Smallville actress Allison Mack, who is facing potential jail time after being charged with recruiting women to be sex slaves in Nxivm, is seen raving about the alleged sex cult in a newly surfaced video from October 2013.

In the bizarre YouTube video, titled 'Allison Mack Q&A — You Asked, I Answered,' 35-year-old Mack talks about the organization as if it is spearheading a women's rights movement.

Mack is seen seated in a verdant garden with jazz music playing in the background. The actress starts off the 13-minute long video by professing she wants to leave a mark on the world.

She also gloats about her work for Jness, a supposed "women's empowerment group" that is affiliated to Nxivm. Mack, who was arrested on Tuesday, comments that her work for Jness is "the most gratifying thing I have ever done."

She also goes on to add that the best part of her job was watching women involved in Jness "evolve and transform". She talks about how the women who join get a chance to restart their lives and get a new experience of themselves.

"Watching the women who are involved in Jness completely transform and evolve in a way that is so pure, is such a privilege," she says in the video.

Nxivm is based out of Albany, New York, and has been the subject of scrutiny from both law enforcement and journalists after it came under fire from Dynasty actress Catherine Oxenberg, whose estranged daughter, India, joined the group in 2011. Nxivm has been accused of forcing women into sex acts with leader Keith Raniere, who was arrested in March on sex-trafficking charges.

Mack was indicted on April 19 on several charges including luring other women into the cult and blackmailing them.

In a hearing at Brooklyn Federal Court on Tuesday, Mack was released on a bail of $5 million and asked to serve home detention at her parents’ house in Los Alamitos, California. Her online communication is limited to her attorneys and she has to wear an electronic bracelet which is used to monitor her movements.

Mack faces a minimum of 15 years in prison for her involvement in Nxivm.
