'All American' Season 2 Episode 6: Fans love Olivia and Asher's bond and want to see them as 'besties' dating each other

While many would label Asher and Olivia's situation as a 'friend zone,' viewers think that the two have feelings and the two should date each other.

If you were trying to ship Olivia Baker and Asher Adams on this week's 'All American', prepare to be disappointed after you watch the episode six. Olivia and Asher try to figure out what the future holds for them. Confused, Asher asks her, "Liv, is everything okay? You're acting weird around me? When will you start being honest with me?"

Olivia then opens up and tells him she is processing her emotions and needs a "best friend" more than a "boyfriend." Asher is understanding enough and tells her that if being friends keeps the two together, he is willing to make that sacrifice.

Even as the two decided to call the whole thing off, fans want the two to be best friends and still date each other. "Okay, I love Asher and Olivia so much, can’t they be besties and date? They’re perfect for each other #AllAmerican." Another viewer penned down: "Even Asher and Olivia deciding to be friends was sweet. I love this couple."

While many would label it as a "friendzone," viewers think that the two have feelings for each other and it makes them scared. "I see some interpreting Olivia's actions as friend-zoning as if her feelings for Asher suddenly died when that's not true. Olivia bluntly stated she has feelings for Asher but her sobriety is shaky & she can't handle a relationship right now + he's important to her," one fan posted.

Another fan went on to break the scenes leading to their final conversation and spoke about how important Asher is for Olivia. "Olivia obviously has feelings for Asher and is scared of pursuing it in the fear of losing him. He’s her anchor and without him, she really doesn’t have anyone else she can rely on. We saw that when dialed her sponsor bc she didn’t have Asher to talk to," she wrote in one tweet.

In another tweet, she wrote, "Olivia called Asher her best friend..that’s how important he is to her. She is so strong for everyone else but so vulnerable with him. He’s the one person she told about her call with her sponsor. She lets him see all of her, the same way he lets her see all of him."

Moreover, viewers adore Olivia's character this season. "I've always known Olivia had sense and a good heart. I'm really loving her storyline this season," one Twitter user wrote and another posted, "Olivia is the sweetest person ever... she’s always helping ppl. I would love an episode centered solely on her cuz she’s so fun to watch."

As the next episode airs next Monday, November 25 on The CW, it might hint at a future for the lovely pair.
