'All American' Season 2 on Netflix: Why are fans spewing so much hatred at Spencer's best friend Coop?
'All American' brings a new flavor of a high school drama couple with teenage social stigma in Season 2. Just as The CW series hit Netflix on March 17, fans have been going crazy about every plot twist.
While Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) is at their center of attention, fans seem to be spewing too much hatred at his best friend Tamia 'Coop' Cooper (Bre-Z). "Bruh I hate Coop from #AllAmerican," one fan posted and another wrote, "Coop is my least favorite."
This season, Coop has not exactly been at her best. In the first half of the season, she was pretty unsure about her singing gig and even lied to her girlfriend Patience (Chelsea Tavares) when JP Keating (Elvis Nolasco) gave an offer to her. "Coop and Patience had more drama than I did with both my BDs," one fan posted and another even went on to say, "Coop gives way too many scares and looks like her sex is trash at that. Patience is the definition of a ride or die."
One fan said, "Coop makes me so angry. She’s always doing something foolish and she doesn’t listen. The girl had zero street smarts! #AllAmerican," and another posted, "Watching season 2 of #AllAmerican and Coop get on my nerves."
In the latter half of the season, Coop gets involved in gun violence after gang leader Tyrone Moore's (Demetrius Shipp Jr.) comeback to the show. At one point, it is speculated that Coop is involved in the death of a key character and that seems to have irked many fans. "Coop is annoying the f**k out of me this season," one wrote and another said, "Coop always running her mouth trying to be a savior! You know Tyrone ain’t s**t you basically put a target on Preach back."
"Coop such a b***h dawg Preach was right she weak as hell," one fan posted and another wrote, "Coop always got some s**t going on the hard-headed a**." Some fans, however, feel sorry for her. "Does anyone else feel sorry for Coop?!! Poor baby. She keeps getting played. #AllAmerican." As the new season returns to The CW, only time will tell if Coop gets a good character development or not.
