Alec Baldwin has suggested that President Donald J. Trump should be beaten "Rodney King-style" because he s a "thug who has destroyed the country." "Who arrests Trump if he refuses to concede? Who drags him out? Pepper spray? Cuffs? A knee on his neck, cutting off his oxygen? Does he wheeze ‘I can’t breathe.’ Just whale away on him like a piñata? Rodney King style? The thug who has destroyed the country. What does he deserve?" the liberal actor wrote without any repercussions on Twitter.

King was videotaped being beaten by Los Angeles police officers in 1991 and the clip resulted in one of the most destructive race riots in US history. Twitter’s hateful conduct policy dictates that users "may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability or serious disease."

The social media giant also does not allow accounts "whose primary purpose is inciting harm toward others" on the basis of the categories. However, despite Baldwin appearing to promote violence against the POTUS, the tweet was not removed by the liberal platform.

Baldwin is one of Trump's most vocal critics in Hollywood. The '30 Rock' star, who made millions playing the President's character on Saturday Night Live, abandoned any trace of subtlety when he mocked Trump for losing the election last month.

"Bury Trump in a Nazi graveyard and put a swastika on his grave," he wrote. "The majority of Americans made the right choice. Trump is a maniac."

SNL has used the anti-Trump actor as its go-to Trump impersonator for several years. Earlier this year, Baldwin said those voting for Trump in the 2020 election were "mentally ill." And shortly after Joe Biden's projected win in the race to the White House, Baldwin tweeted: "I don’t believe I’ve ever been this overjoyed to lose a job before," referring to his SNL kit role.

The actor has previously defended his impersonation of Trump while he was hospitalized with coronavirus, saying that he would not have done so if the Republican was "truly, gravely ill." Despite the popularity of his impression of Trump, the 61-year-old actor has stated multiple times that he dislikes playing the president

“I think every time I did Trump after the first season — the first season everybody was high, they were in a lot of pain, they were confused,” Baldwin explained in the Season 3 premiere of Kevin Nealon’s YouTube series 'Hiking with Kevin' earlier this year. “They thought, even if you didn’t like [Hillary Clinton], it is impossible that he would beat her. They just didn’t see that.”

He added that after his Emmy-winning portrayal of Trump in the first season, he had it as “fun, fun fun.” “Then, every time I did it — the second and third season I did it, I’d go into my room and I was like ‘I hope a meteor hits this building and kills me because I don’t want to do this ever again. I hate this," the actor said.
