Air Force veteran records testimony on deathbed against janitor who sexually abused him repeatedly as a child

A man who had terminal cancer was given the opportunity of a lifetime to testify on his deathbed against the school janitor who repeatedly raped him as a child. In December 2018, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Gerald Connolly granted an emergency request in order to let 55-year-old Stephen Erickson give a sworn statement to "preserve his testimony" for a lawsuit that he had wanted to file against the church which ran the school he studied in.
Erickson managed to give a videotaped sworn statement from his deathbed at the Albany Medical Center on December 12. The father had suffered from terminal skin cancer and died one week after the statement was recorded, reported Daily Mail.
