An investigation has found that a retired, decorated US Air Force general searched for thousands of images of "pre-teens" and children "engaged in very graphic sexual acts," leading to him being detained on 15 child pornography possession charges.

According to a release from Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, 67-year-old Retired United States Air Force Brigadier General Frank Sullivan was arrested Wednesday in Cumberland County,

Sullivan was charged with 15-second degree felony counts of sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of communication facility. He is a former executive director of the Pennsylvania Military Community Enhancement Commission.

"General Sullivan's alleged actions disgrace his work and besmirch the Pennsylvania National Guard, an organization that has bravely and dutifully come to the aid of Pennsylvanians whenever they have been called," said Shapiro. "I've said it time and time again—nobody is above the law. My Office will investigate and prosecute anyone who harms Pennsylvanians, no matter what positions of power they may hold."

Office of Attorney agents took a look into the activities of the decorated veteran, who has served both in Iraq and in Afghanistan, after probing into a certain file-sharing network.

When they scoured through Sullivan's Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania residence, they found both his desktop and laptop filled with searches for pre-teen children.

The release states that a computer forensic analysis identified at least 37 search terms associated with child pornography.

Furthermore, the Attorney General's Child Predator Unit also arrested Bobby Glenn WIlliams Jr, one of the tenants living in the home, in connection to Sullivan's arrest.

Williams was arrested in October on 14 felony counts of disseminating photos of child sex acts, 11 felony counts of child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility.

Sullivan is currently free on a $100,000 unsecured bail, per Patriot News. He is expected to reappear in court for arraignment on January 23.
